Galahs

In Australian English (for non-Australian readers), a person may be called 'galah' when acting silly, probably because these birds, intelligent and curious, love playing and can be seen hanging upside down and pirouetting, all behaviours that may be perceived a bit eccentric to human eyes. Galahs - Eolophus roseicapilla

  1. I really like the way you use watercolor--I love the bluish/greyish emu-type heading birds very much. I am studying them hard. They are beautiful,(and the shells in the Ireland tab blow me away)!

  3. Love these Matteo, we also called them cockys or pink-and-greys on the farm - I loved them, so comical and easy to train too. I can almost feel the fluffiness of those feathers - beautiful
